Elizabeth Organt graduated from the University of Baltimore with a B.A. in history and an M.S. in education from Niagara University.
She has 28 years of experience teaching and advising students with diagnosed learning disabilities. She also served as Department Chair, Mentor, and Senior Project Advisor.
She has presented at numerous conferences, mainly with the Learning Disabilities Association of America. Currently, she is serving on the Adult Transition to College, Trade School, or Career Committee for Learning Disabilities of Pennsylvania.
She currently lives in the suburban Philadelphia area and enjoys spending time traveling.
Dr. Schulz started her career in higher education in the early 1990s at what was then known as Essex Community College, in the Disability Support Services office. During her time in higher education, Dr. Schulz has held different positions but returned to supporting students with disabilities in 2008 at The University of Baltimore. She considers what she does as “coming home.” She continues to be a leader in her field as the current Past President of the state chapter of her national organization as well as a main point of contact for her peers in regard to the provision of accommodations.
Dr. Schulz fully believes that part of the responsibility of her position and the office’s mission, besides the provision of reasonable and appropriate accommodations, is to help students registered with the office transition to the workforce with a focus on how their classroom accommodations also make this transition.
During the course of her tenure in her current position, Dr. Schulz has given numerous presentations about reasonable and appropriate accommodations, assistive technology, and self-advocacy; all relatable to the transition to the workforce. She sponsors a federal program each fall, the Workforce Recruitment Program, that connects students with disabilities with potential federal hiring managers in hopes of finding an internship or part-time and/or full-time employment with the federal government. Recently she was interviewed by the monthly publication, Disability Compliance in Higher Education, about this program.
In her spare time, Dr. Schulz loves spending time with her family and dogs and is an avid reader.

Hello, I’m Briana! I’m a sociologist with particular interest in disability and sexuality. My thesis explored physical disability, sexuality and expectations for romantic relationships. I share my research findings to demonstrate historical social injustice about physical disability and sexual agency. (Oh, and I also have cerebral palsy.)
The research question in my study asks how people with physical disabilities perceive their socialization to affect their experiences as sexual beings. The purpose of this research is to understand how socialization impacts the beliefs and expectations that people with physical disabilities have regarding romantic relationships and sexual identity.
I graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Chico, with a degree in Sociology.
Since graduation, I’ve remained passionate about social justice and human rights.
As the former co-founder and director of the only fully inclusive nonprofit in Butte County serving children with and without disabilities and their families, I’m a dedicated social steward.
As an inclusion consultant and a former columnist, I’m dedicated to building a bridge for equality through writing and academic research.
By sharing reflections reported by my research participants, I also aspire to give voice to the challenges, myths, and aspirations of those of us with physical disabilities who encounter obstacles to sexual expression and connection.
Through my work, I provide support, education, advocacy, and collaboration to promote equality, empowerment, and meaningful connection for us all.

Mr. Norman is a stoic cosmopolitan who admires the symbol of the double-headed eagle. This is reflected in his many roles: consultant, ADR professional, civic leader, and adjunct law professor. Institutions can hire a standard academic profile, or institutions could wisely hire an erudite lawyer whose career embodies intellectual range, moral courage, and lived experience at the highest levels.
In 2025, he retired from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services after a distinguished public-service career, departing as the final service-animal handler in the building and at the agency. He started his career as a prestigious Presidential Management Fellow. Mr. Norman traveled through the German Marshall Fund of the United States as a Marshall Memorial Fellow, becoming the sole guide dog handler to have done so. He brings a combination of resilience, rigor, and cross-cultural leadership to his clients and to the classroom.
He is also a recognized civic leader whose work bridges civic engagement, faith, and public health policy. He serves in a Fellowship at the Institute for Christian, Jewish, and Islamic Studies. He serves on the Board of the National Institute for Rural and Minority Health and leads its efforts related to aging and disabilities. He served as the chair of the ADR Section within the Maryland State Bar Association from 2025-26 and serves on the Board of Governors at the MSBA and at the City Bar Association.
Mr. Norman clearly brings to his clients and to any faculty wise enough to hire him not only expertise but erudition, knowledge of inclusive instruction, and perspective of a public lawyer, the discipline of a scholar-practitioner, the courage of a barrier-breaker, and the generosity of a teacher committed to forming the next generation of leaders.
Scholarship and Public Policy Leadership: His published and public work addresses disability law, healthcare disparities, legal epidemiology, public health justice, social entrepreneurship, and the design of inclusive institutions. As a former policy advisor in the Office of Minority Health and a contributor to national disability and health equity initiatives, he brings both doctrinal depth and practical policy fluency to his teaching and consulting as well as scholarship.
On a personal basis, he avidly swims, and he enjoys walking and hiking, often with his active or retired guide dogs. He also enjoys the performing arts, such as Shakespearean theatre; he has performed pro bono legal work for artist organizations, and studies and performs acting and singing.
Perneita Farrar is a dedicated trust & estates attorney whose practice is rooted in a deep commitment to public service, client education, and community impact. She focuses on estate planning, probate administration, and Medicaid asset protection; helping individuals and families safeguard their assets while building and preserving generational wealth.
Before entering the legal profession, Perneita built an extensive career in professional training and public health. This background continues to inform her client-centered approach, allowing her to break down complex legal concepts and empower clients to make informed decisions about their futures.
During the prime of her career, Perneita experienced a medical tragedy that changed the course of her life. Although this setback left her with a permanent spinal cord injury, causing extensive surgeries and rehabilitation, Perneita relied on her advocacy skills to navigate the healthcare system; this time as a patient. Perneita’s perseverance was the catalyst to her transitioning from the nursing home to home ownership and beyond..
In her early 40’s, Perneita enrolled in the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she intentionally positioned her new career path as an extension of the advocacy work she started earlier in her career. Perneita’s personal experience as a person with a disability, and her interest in healthcare policy bolster her ability to directly influence and support individuals navigating critical life-planning issues.
While attending the University of Baltimore School of Law, Perneita distinguished herself through a series of prestigious internships and fellowships. This includes spending time working with the U.S. Department of Justice, the Department of the Navy, and the Office of the Public Defender. In 2020, she was selected as a Maryland State Bar Association (SBA) Student Ambassador, where she coordinated professional development and networking opportunities, connecting law students with members of the legal community.
Following her graduation in 2021, Perneita served as a law clerk for the District Court of Baltimore City. After, being admitted to the Maryland Bar, she worked as an Assistant County Attorney before founding her own solo practice in 2024 serving clients throughout the state of Maryland. In 2025, she joined a family law firm as a counsel, where she played a key role in developing and expanding its trusts & estates practice.
